Temple of the King in Irons (Part 2)

Twenty devils -- with red scaly skin, bat wings, and long horns -- charged into the temple cavern. They cleared their way with triple strength walls of fire, and once into the chamber, half of them teleported to attack the party members waiting at the chamber's far end. Oshiro, shapechanged into an ancient gold dragon, used his breath weapon to kill the score of more of devils still in the hallway. And Lightrider cast wall of force to prevent any more devils from entering the chamber. With help from Morgoth (in his natural form -- an amethyst dragon) and the sword 'Blackrazor' (wielded by Azriel), the devils that remained near the chamber entrance were defeated.

Ten devils teleported to the cavern's far end and attacked the unprepared and weaker party members there. These devils used several walls of fire and physical attacks to slay many of the party members there. It took several rounds for the victorious party members from the other end of the chamber to reach the battle. But in the end the party was again victorious.

After the battle, Min Chung was awake and identified Tasha as the guide promised to him by Ademis while he was under the spell. The party decided to trust Tasha, and quickly followed her through a magical portal out of the temple cavern. She led them to a long stair twisting through darkness, and told them to climb to the top. By riding atop Morgoth's back, the tired party managed the six mile climb with ease.

Passing through a door at the top of the stair, the party arrived in a alleyway at night. It appears they are back on a material plane, but not their own. With a limited ability to understand the local languages, the party rented rooms for the night, and Kzin, Angus, and Morgoth (in human form) went to a nearby tavern to learn about the area.

The party is in Ookari, one of the Cities of the Krag, which is a place entirely unknown to them. From Chung's communion with Ademis, the party knows they must now return home and close the Hellgate, before devils overrun the Prime World. Next time, they will learn more about the Cities of the Krag, and how to get home.
